After that he was Pizza deliverer and Dj. In 1993 he learned for speditionsalesman in Hannover. After that he made music with two friends (H.P and Rick) and this band was called Scooter in 1994. He had been 4 years by Scooter before he left them in the end of 1997 to start a solocareer in pop music under the name: FERRIS. Unfortunately he had no real succes whit his two solosingles named:"GIRL" and "HEAVEN". "HEAVEN" was a cover of a Brain Adams song. They are both romantik pop ballads. After them he made a technosong under the name "Ravelab ft. Purwien" which was called "Send Me An Angel". In the beginning of 2002 Ferris made a techno song together with Axel Coon (also an ex Scooter member) under the project name "Fragrance". The song was called "Don't Break My Heart".
