THE STORY
In 1998 the word RATTY appeared for the first time in the Scooter song "Expecting More From Ratty" from the album "No Time To Chill". In 1999 the word RATTY appeared for the second time in the song "Prycho" from the album "Back To The Heavyweight Jam". In that song HP said:"Inspired by those people like Ratty, we started riding on heavy horses". In 2000 the word RATTY appeared for the third time on the third track from the "She's The Sun" single. The track was called "Sunrise (Ratty's Inferno)". Everybody was wondering what or who was RATTY. In 2001 came the answer to this question. A group called RATTY released their first cd-single "Sunrise (Here I Am)" on the "Kontor-Records" label. The third track of that single was exactly the same as the third track on the "She's The Sun" single. The video version was alsow partly the same, but had a melody in it sung by a woman and was shorter. The conclusion was that Ratty has to be Scooter. When Scooter were on Interaktiv (VIVA) whit their single "Posse (I Need You On The Floor)" HP said in an interview that they made a song under the name RATTY. Finally the fans knew for sure that Ratty is a side project from Scooter.
Ratty's first song was "Spacecowboy" which had the same title as a song on the Scooter album "Back To The Heavyweight Jam". It was only played in the clubs and is never released as a single. The second song "Sunrise (Here I Am)" was a big hit in clubs all over Europe and was alsow released as a single. It was succesfull in Germany where it entered the media-control charts on number 36.The third RATTY song is called "Living On Video" and is already a hit in the clubs and hopefully alsow soon in the media control charts.
